Henry is a fireman who came to our practice unhappy with the appearance of his upper teeth, which were crooked and discolored and posed several health risks as well. Dr. Ravin and his staff were able to provide Henry with a bright and beautiful smile that he can proudly show off!

Volunteer Trip to Peru

Last month, Dr. Ravin and staff made a trip to North Peru to provide volunteer services to children and adults who otherwise do not have access to professional dental treatments. The staff set up within the mountains, not far from Lima, and were even faced with two small earthquakes during their stay. The trip was a great success as HDG provided the skills and supplies to perform a wide range of treatments.

On March 31, Dr. Ravin and his staff provided complimentary dental identifications for inner city children at the Bravo Supermarket in Hartford. February is National Children’s Dental Health Month!

Every February, the American Dental Association celebrates National Children’s Dental Health Month, a month-long campaign to promote awareness of proper oral health practices targeted to young patients. Establishing healthy habits at an early age is an essential part of developing strong healthy teeth that will last a lifetime. This year, the campaign encourages young patients to “Rock Your Smile”, and combines oral care with the fun of playing in a band or listening to music to provide a fun and informative way of teaching healthy dental care.

At Hospital Dental Group, we proudly support the ADA’s campaign on a daily basis by offering motivational and educational care personalized for each child’s individual dental needs. We help parents and children work together to develop a routine at home and a long-lasting relationship with your dentist. It is recommended that children see a dentist before their first birthday, and have their first set of x-rays around the age of four years old.

As part of the National Children’s Dental Health Month initiative, the ADA also sponsors the Give Kids a Smile program, offering free dental care services and education to those children in need of care.
